Bahia


Bahia grass, commonly called Highway grass, is coarse textured and grows to an open turf that is mainly upright. This is not a good lawn grass for numerous reasons.
It is primarily used for erosion control and cover in areas where there is no irrigation.

 

CHARACTERISTICS

Very drought tolerant

Requires little or no maintenance other than frequent mowing

Produces unsightly seed heads
Mow at 4-5 inches
